The Tenga Pocket Wave Line is a travel sized one time use male masturbator from the famed Tenga company. It is one of many toys in the Pocket line. The line also includes previously reviewed toys such as the Tenga Pocket Click Ball and Tenga Pocket Block Edge.
The Tenga Pocket Wave Line comes packed in a plastic pouch. The container bares the traditional red and white of Tenga toys but the colors are reverse so that white dominates and red is more or less an accent.
The pouch is easy to open. It includes a small foil packet of Tenga lubricant that is enough for a single use. It also contains the Tenga pocket toy itself. The toy looks like a large finger cot with a thicker but softer rubber makeup.
The outside of the toy is smooth as silk. The inside of the toy contains ridges that start out large near the entrance and get smaller and closer together toward the back of the toy. The opening itself is large enough for a man of average endowment to easily enter though the toy can make that difficult.
While the Tenga pocket toys are impressively elastic or “stretchy” they are also tough to use at times. With a smooth exterior that often gets coated with lubricant from the setup stage it can be difficult to get a good grip on the toy. Without a good grip it is next to impossible to apply enough force to the toy to stretch it out and over the unit in order to actually use the thing.
Besides that, the Tenga Pocket Wave Line doesn’t produce much sensation. So even if you wore able to get the toy stretched over your package and ready for use you might find it all to be a waste effort. I guess someone new to Japanese male sex toys or even masturbation could really enjoy this toy but for the experienced wanker it is simply more effort than its worth.
To add insult to injury the toy doesn’t seem to be all that well made. This is absolutely shocking. Japanese sex toys are normally well made and Tenga in particular is known for crafting excellent male masturbators while keeping the price point reasonable.
I realize that the pocket Tengas are disposable one time use travel toys that are meant to be thrown in a bag or a pocket and used in a hotel room or somewhere similar. Still, they just aren’t that great in some cases. The Tenga Pocket Block Edge is an exception since it is actually quite nice, but other toys in the line including the Tenga Pocket Wave Line under review here aren’t worth even the small price tag they carry.
When using a Tenga Pocket Wave Line with intentions of reviewing the toy here the product actually snapped and broke on me. This was very early into the proceedings and obviously quite disappointing. I may have received a defective toy but in any event this goes to prove my above point.
Tenga makes many great products for men. The Tenga Pocket Wave Line doesn’t seem to be one of them. I wish I could say otherwise.
